Melt My Eyez See Your Future

The cover of Melt My Eyez See Your Future shows Denzel Curry's face dissolving. His features are smeared and stretched, so the portrait seems to run like wet paint, and the colours drift through aqua, teal, indigo and violet against a soft blue ground. Only the outline of his head and his spiky hair hold the image together.

The picture takes the title literally. Melting eyes become a melting face, and the blur turns a straightforward portrait into something closer to a vision, an image seen through tears or heat. The album was Curry's most inward record, made after years of loud, aggressive releases, with songs about anger, faith and growth. A sharp, posed photograph would have suited the old persona. A face in the middle of changing suits a record about becoming someone else.

Curry announced the album on 5 January 2022 with a trailer before revealing the art. A deluxe Extended Edition followed on 30 September 2022 with its own alternate cover. The original was released on 25 March 2022.
