Everybody

LogicPainting2017

Logic had just seen Paolo Veronese's huge Renaissance canvas The Wedding at Cana at the Louvre when he asked the painter Sam Spratt to make something like it. Spratt, who had painted his earlier covers, built a crowded classical scene of columns, arches, statues and stairways, filled with around 80 of Logic's closest friends and inspirations.

Spratt admitted the scale was new to him: "Fuck, well, I've never done anything like that." The finished painting hides details tied to Logic's ongoing story, and Spratt warned fans that some would make sense only later, saying "people literally won't understand until they listen to Ultra 85." A fan named Josh, who has osteogenesis imperfecta, won a contest to be painted into the crowd.

Spratt said he was "pretty happy with how it turned out." Everybody, an album built around the idea that all people are equal, was released on 5 May 2017 and debuted at number one, and its cover remains one of the most detailed paintings ever used on a rap record.
