Wu-Tang Forever

Wu-Tang ClanGraphic design1997

The cover of Wu-Tang Forever is dominated by the Clan's emblem, a silver Wu-Tang W set inside a globe, glowing over a dark background, while the members appear as small figures along the bottom, under the title in large silver letters.

Four years after Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and a string of classic solo albums, the Clan returned with a double album of 29 tracks. Wu-Tang Forever was released on 3 June 1997 and debuted at number one, led by "Triumph," a nearly six-minute posse cut with no chorus.

The cover shows how big the group had become. The logo, first drawn by Mathematics for "Protect Ya Neck," now stood for a worldwide brand of records, clothing and solo careers, and the image of the W over the world turned that empire into a picture.
