Cypress Hill
Cypress Hill's debut is split in two. On the left runs a narrow panel carrying the group's logo in red, and on the right is a hazy photograph of B-Real, Sen Dog and DJ Muggs standing around a fire burning in a trash can, according to the description held by the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle.
Discogs credits the art direction to Stacy Drummond, the logo to Dante Ariola and the photography to Michael Miller. The logo became the group's lasting trademark and has been reworked on their records for decades.
Cypress Hill was released on 13 August 1991 on Ruffhouse and Columbia. It introduced B-Real's nasal flow and Muggs's dusty, menacing beats, and in 2016 the group marked its 25th anniversary with a box set packaged inside a resin skull.
