Finally Rich
Chief Keef, then 17, appears on the cover of his debut album with long dreadlocks, blowing smoke against a dark background, one hand raised, with his name in large metallic letters below.
Keef's raw, chanted songs from Chicago's South Side, recorded with producers like Young Chop, spread online in 2012, and "I Don't Like" was remixed by Kanye West. Finally Rich, released on 18 December 2012, carried "Love Sosa" and "I Don't Like" and brought Chicago drill to the world.
The young, defiant portrait matches the moment a teenager from the block became a national figure. Drill went on to spread to London, Brooklyn and beyond, and the producers and rappers of those scenes have pointed back to Finally Rich as the starting point.
